
A study performed by the Advertising Specialty Institute in 2008 reinforced previously unreliable estimates of the actual effectiveness of
promotional products. According to ASI’s findings, promotional items remain in recipients’ possession for an average of seven months. Also, data was found to support statements that these gifts and giveaways aid brand awareness, namely evidenced by the discovery that 84% of customers who received a promotional product could recall the name of the business who had given them the item after a prolonged period of time.
